Finished at last, Troutbeck Village, been burning the midnight oil on these last two, but pretty happy with the results.

Craig is in the Gallery today finishing off this new one of Great Gable, “Getting the Autumn vibe now the weather has turned, there’s a softness in the air and a quiet sense of peace this time of year.”

My latest painting is based on a photo I took years ago, Its a painting I’ve had in mind for ages but not had the courage to attempt, if I remember right there had been a volcanic eruption in Iceland or somewhere which gave us fabulous sunsets for a week or so. The exact location i cant remember but I believe its from either Orrest Head or Brant fell, looking across Claife heights towards the Langdales and Bowfell.

I enjoyed painting this stag, nature at its finest. Using a really small brush for all the fine detail on the stag and its surroundings.

thought I’d try something a little different this time. I’m happy painting wildlife but thought id go towards the coast a little for this one…

Homeward Bound my latest painting to join the collectors edition range and one i really enjoyed. all my favourite elements: snow, the moon, lit windows and an old boy out with his dog…
